Open Access Policy

The Pakistan Review follows a fully open access policy in accordance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) standards and complies with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. We are committed to making scholarly research freely accessible to a global audience, supporting authors, readers, and institutions in advancing knowledge without financial or legal barriers to access.

Under this open access policy:

  1. Free and Immediate Access – All published content, including book reviews, research articles, theses/dissertations, and academic essays, is freely and immediately available online without subscription or paywall restrictions.

  2. Unrestricted Reuse with Attribution – All published material may be copied, distributed, adapted, and reused for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as proper credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal, in accordance with the CC BY 4.0 license.

  3. Article Processing Charges (APCs) – To cover the costs of peer review, editorial services, online hosting, and long-term archiving, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted papers. The APC ensures the sustainability of our open access model and is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

  4. Financial Support & Transparency – While authors are responsible for APC payments, the journal remains committed to transparency in publishing costs. The open access model is managed by its parent organization, Technology Research and Innovation Markaz (TRIM) Pakistan, ensuring quality publication services.
